Checkout runs through a single secure gateway whichever card you use. This page sets out what we accept, how your details are protected, and what to do when a payment does not go through.

Accepted Methods

We accept PayPal, debit cards and credit cards, covering Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Every payment is processed through the PayPal gateway, which is PCI DSS compliant. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by card. Select the card option at checkout and enter your details as a guest.

Security

Card and bank details are entered on PayPal encrypted systems, not on ours. We never see, store or have access to your full card number, expiry date or security code, which means there is nothing of that kind on our systems for anyone to obtain. The checkout pages here are served over SSL/TLS encryption.

Payment Timing

Full payment is taken when you place the order. Nothing is processed or dispatched until the gateway confirms the payment. Where a payment stays unconfirmed for more than 24 hours, the order is released and the stock returns to the shelf. We email you when that happens so you can try again if you still want the shoes.

Currency and Foreign Fees

All transactions are processed in United States Dollars (USD). If your card was issued outside the United States, your bank may apply a foreign transaction fee or a conversion rate of its own choosing. Those charges are set by your issuer and are not visible to us, so your bank is the right place to ask about them.

Sales Tax

Sales tax is calculated at checkout where applicable and shown before you confirm payment. The total you approve is the total you are charged.

Failed or Declined Payments

A declined payment is nearly always something your bank or PayPal can resolve faster than we can. Check that the card number, expiry date and billing address match what your issuer has on file, that the card has not expired, and that funds are available. Some issuers also block a first online purchase until the cardholder confirms it.

If it still will not go through, email [email protected] with your order details. We cannot see the reason a bank gives for a decline, but we can confirm what our gateway received and hold the stock for you while you sort it out.

Authorization Holds

A declined attempt sometimes leaves a temporary authorization hold on your account. It is not a charge and it is released by your bank, usually within a few business days. We cannot release a hold on your bank behalf, but we can send you the transaction reference to give them, which normally speeds it up.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method, and the timing is set out in full on our Return & Refund Policy.
